Desert Chic. Not necessarily two words you would put together, especially if you’ve ever spent time in the desert. If you have, you know it can be hard to look chic when you’re in the middle of a dust storm. Lucky for us, no traveling is required as Marfa, Palm Springs, and even Coachella continue to put Desert Chic on the map as a big design inspiration. We see Mexican woven blankets, teepees, cactus, and natural wood on everything from home decor items to nursery gallery walls creating the perfect moodboard for designer, Denise Roberts of Love Ding. Inspired, we put a team together to throw one stylish baby and mama-to-be a gender-neutral shower of their desert dreams. Olga from Polkadots Cupcake Factory created those adorable succulent-inspired cupcakes while the curated flower bouquets were created by the team at The Little Posey, who recently launched a delivery service in Austin. All photography is by Dos Mundos Creative, a digital and analog creative studio.
